Imrana Shakeel
Women's Community Engagement Advisor (Director)
Imrana Shakeel currently works at the Women’s Housing Aid Group in Rochdale as a Housekeeper and Maintenance Officer. Beyond her professional role, she is deeply involved in various women’s initiatives within the South Asian communities of Rochdale. A passionate advocate for women affected by domestic violence and those on the path to recovery, Imrana draws on her personal lived experience and professional experiences to offer meaningful insights into to the delivery of our services for women.
As an advisor to The Salik Project UK, Imrana plays a key role in engaging South Asian women and encouraging them to access the wide range of support services available in the Rochdale area. She brings both grassroots involvement and lived experience that align strongly with the foundation’s mission.
In addition to her community work, Imrana is a talented cook and is in the process of launching her own catering business, specializing in traditional Pakistani cuisine. Originally from Azad Kashmir, Pakistan, she is also a proud mother of three.
